Our designers have a broad experience in multiple industries and a proven ability deliver.
The creative process will involve us generating and developing new concepts that we believe have the highest potential to be developed into successful products. We will continuously evaluate these using input from you (the client), market sources and results from engineering tests.
It is important to communicate your company's values and character through compelling imagery and design elements. We strive to maintain this key ingredient of the design to compliment a convincing brand strategy that helps build an emotional connection between the brand and the consumer. We can offer brand design alongside the product development or use your existing brand ethos and aesthetics to create a product that fits in seamlessly.
Using the most up to date 2D and 3D computer rendering software, we can provide you with realistic and compelling visual narratives to show off your designs. This may be for electronic or printed material for marketing or fundraising / investment presentation.
The outward appearance of your product has a huge impact on its level of success. It contributes not only to the customer’s perception and desire of ownership, but also the cost and mechanical performance of the product.
Whether you are prioritising a low budget or aiming for a high-end premium look and feel, with our extensive knowledge, we are able to recommend and specify the most suitable materials and finishes to satisfy the requirements of your product.
Our skilled engineers are the heart of most of the projects we take on. Their methodical approach in conjunction with solid technical understanding enables us to provide you with design solutions that satisfy the functional and performance requirements of the product. With an eye constantly on costs, compliance requirements, user desires, manufacturing constraints and aesthetics to ensure we deliver a final design that covers all bases.
Electronics play an integral part in more and more of today’s products and this is set to remain on an upward trend for the foreseeable future.
Studio 29 can manage integration of electronics into a range of product types and can offer hardware and software solutions as part of product development or as standalone projects.
• System architecture
• PCBA design and prototyping
• Wireless connectivity
• Embedded firmware
• Battery and charge management and monitoring
• GUI (Graphical User Interface) design and programming
• Programming (C++, Visual Basic, Linux, Assembly etc.)
• Software validation management
• Database design and code generation
• Platform and software selection and specification
Prototyping is an exciting and essential part of the product design process as it allows you to assess and test a physically model of your proposed design for the first time. We use in-house and outsourced prototyping methods allowing us to build working prototypes fast; reducing development time and project costs.
We can produce:
CNC machined components from plastic, wood and metal.
3D printed plastic components including SLA, SLS & FDM.
Silicone tooling and vacuum casting (For small batch plastic moulding)
Sheet metal forming.
Model finishing including painting, polishing, plating and anodizing.
Electronics / PCBAs
An integral part of the design process some design agency shy away form the compliance side of product design. Studio 29 understands that to get a product to market quickly and correctly it can not underestimated.
We have partnered up with one of the UK's leading Compliance house's to enable us to tap into the wealth of knowledge that is required to comply with national and intentional standards.
A key part of the design journey for us is 'Pre compliance'. We can get knowledge applied quickly to add into the design early on and work towards a 'first time' testing and compliance approach. This saves time and cost
This approach allows time to be spent on understanding all the required compliance and testing to be able to sell a product in a particular market.
Studio 29 has an extensive network and managed trusted suppliers and partners in the UK, Europe and Asia. We provide our clients with a quality-assured service that is integrated with product development for continuity, efficiency and ensure that you will receive the best value possible from the preferred manufacturer.
We manage our process into production from our offices in UK and Hong Kong. This outsourcing process can start with liaising with multiple suppliers and selecting the preferred vendor; engaging with the manufacturer during the tooling phase, testing samples and establishing assembly lines up to approval. We can also help manage logistics and ensure quality checks are pursued during production.
